SCOREKEEPER/PITCH COUNTER

FOR MAJORS & MINORS TEAMS ONLY
SCOREKEEPER:
The HOME team will be required to provide the Official Scorekeeper for each TDLL game.  While a basic knowledge of the game is a prerequisite for this role, TDLL will provide a live training on how to keep score in a scorebook prior to the start of the season.  The following YouTube videos also provide a detailed tutorial for how to keep score.

PITCH COUNTER: The VISITOR team will be required to provide a Pitch Counter for each TDLL season game. This team will also be responsible for operating the scoreboard for all games. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary. All training will be provided by TDLL prior to the start of the season.

The only requirement to volunteer for the Scorekeeper/Pitch Counter role is a background check. Little League International (LLI) requires all leagues and districts in the United States to conduct an annual background check, including a nationwide criminal search, a search of the National Sex Offender Registry, review of the U.S. Center for SafeSport Centralized Disciplinary Database and Little League International Ineligible List. LFLL utilizes J.D Palatine (JDP), which is LLI’s preferred provider, to conduct its background checks. The annual period resets on October 1st of each year.

  • Alongside auto-notifications from Sports Connect, the mobile app will provide alerts for upcoming events, schedule changes, and cancellations.
  • Rosters are automatically sync'd and updated from TDLL's Sports Connect registration platform. Team Messaging makes it easy for the entire team to stay on the same page and up-to-date with any last minutes changes. Coaches and team members are able to message the entire team, or certain groups or individuals within a team.
  • Live Scorekeeping is available to allow play-by-play tracking of each game, with advanced features available such as LiveStreaming (requires a video device such as a mobile phone, GoPro, etc. and someone to use the app to scorekeep throughout the gam
